How to Read Your Statement

The HomEq Servicing account statement, also referred to as your billing statement, was designed to enable you to find information quickly.  It is account specific; therefore some of the information on this sample may not appear on your actual account statement if it is not applicable to your account.  For instance, if you do not have an escrow account with HomEq Servicing, you will not see escrow related information on your account statement.

  1. Mailing (Billing) Address - This is the current mailing address HomEq Servicing has on record.  If the information is not accurate, you can log in and change your mailing address and other contact information in a secure environment.  Or, register now if you currently do not have an online account.  You may also check the box on the Payment Coupon at the bottom of your Account Statement, and complete the reverse side as instructed.
  2. Statement Date, Account Number and Contact Information - Includes the date that the statement was issued and your Account Number, as well as important information regarding how to stay in touch with HomEq Servicing. To ensure proper handling, always include your Account Number on any correspondence or payments sent to HomEq Servicing.

  4. Account Information –Includes the (unpaid) principal balance amount and a summary of the current escrow balance (if applicable)
  5. Escrow Disbursements – Includes amounts paid (year-to-date) from your escrow account to cover property taxes and insurance premiums due.
  6. Interest Paid & Tax Information – A summary of the Year-to-Date Interest and Tax amounts you have paid.  Account Statements for the months of January through April will include the amount of interest and taxes paid in the previous calendar year.
  7. Late Charge Information – If applicable, this is the date by which your payment must be received to avoid the assessment of a late charge
  8. Account Status and Protect Your Credit – Provides important Account Status information as well as action you may need to take to Protect Your Credit.
  9. Payment Activity – Shows how funds received were applied to your account.
  10. Important Messages – Special announcements and exclusive offers that are available to HomEq Servicing customers.
  11. Payment Coupon – Please return this perforated coupon with your payment to ensure proper posting. The Amount Due is the amount to be paid by the Amount Due By date indicated.  This coupon may be used to send additional funds exceeding the Amount Due.
