Request a 401(k)/Hardship Letter

On occasion, borrowers may find it difficult to make their monthly mortgage payment. Some 401(k) Savings Plans may allow a hardship withdrawal to satisfy an immediate and significant financial need. Many plans will require documentation of the hardship. In these situations borrowers will request a 401(k)/Hardship Letter that will enable them to withdraw funds from their 401(k) Savings Plan to keep their mortgage account current, and/or to bring the account current. You can request to view and download a 401(k)/Hardship Letter reflecting key information (i.e., amount due, number of payments due, late charge balance, etc.) in a secure environment. Simply log in to get started. Or, register now if you currently do not have an online account. Once you've logged in, click the "Request a 401(k)/Hardship Letter" link.

Or, you can call Customer Service at (877) 867-7378 (Toll Free), 5:00am to 5:30pm, PT, Monday through Friday, to request assistance in obtaining a 401(k)/Hardship Letter.

NOTE: Because interest accruals, late charges and other expenses may be additionally incurred, the amount reflected as required may be greater on the day you actually deliver your payment to HomEq than the amount indicated on the 401(k)/Hardship Letter.
