HomEq Servicing is committed to protecting the personal information that you provide to us. Whether your personal information is used to evaluate your financial needs, carry out your business requests and transactions, communicate products and services available to you, or provide other customer services, HomEq Servicing will ensure your personal information is maintained in strict confidence and managed in accordance with established procedures.

Information Collected and How It’s Used
Examples of personal information collected may include:

Information you provide to us both orally and in writing, such as on forms and within your loan documents, including names, address, Social Security Number or other identification number, occupation, and financial data;

Information about your transaction activity with HomEq Servicing, our affiliates, prior servicers, and others; and

Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies and similar organizations;

Only those employees needing access to your personal information in connection with HomEq Servicing’s servicing of your account are provided access to that information. Further, HomEq Servicing maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information that meet or exceed applicable laws and regulations

Sharing of Personal Information with Others
HomEq Servicing may share your personal information as described above with our affiliates for various business purposes, such as servicing your accounts and informing you about new products and services and as permitted by applicable law. Our affiliates are companies controlled or owned by Barclays Bank PLC, or companies controlling or under common control with our parent company. Affiliates may include both financial service companies, as well as companies not involved in financial services. Types of information we may share with our affiliates for marketing purposes can include name, address and account information but does not include credit information.

We may also share your personal information with companies and individuals not affiliated with Barclays Bank PLC but under contract to perform services for Barclays Bank PLC or on our behalf (for example, vendors who produce your account statement, conduct customer satisfaction surveys, and/or track taxes or insurance due on the securing property). We may further share your personal information with companies and individuals not affiliated with Barclays Bank PLC with whom we have entered into a joint marketing agreement in order to provide you with valuable financial products and services.

HomEq Servicing also may disclose your personal information with regulatory authorities as permitted or as required by applicable law. For example, we are required to disclose your personal information with regulatory authorities and/or law enforcement agencies, comply with legal orders and, as necessary, preserve HomEq Servicing’s rights or property.

Except as described in this privacy policy, HomEq Servicing will not use your personal information for any other purpose unless we describe how such information will be used at the time you disclose it to us, or we obtain your permission to do so.

Accuracy of Your Customer Information
HomEq Servicing strives to keep your files complete and accurate. We also provide you with reasonable access to the information we have about your account. Most of the information is contained in your account statements that you receive from HomEq Servicing. We encourage you to review this information and notify us if any information requires correction or updating.

Customer Information under US Anti-Money Laundering Laws
Under the USA PATRIOT Act, federal law requires financial institutions to obtain, verify and record certain information that identifies you as the account holder. When we receive your account for servicing, we are required to ask you to provide your name, address, and certain other information, such as your Social Security Number, to assist us in verifying your identity.

Other Applicable Laws
For Vermont and California residents only. The information-sharing practices described above are in accordance with federal law. Vermont and California law places additional limits on sharing information about Vermont and California residents so long as they remain residents of those states.

Vermont: If you are a resident of Vermont, HomEq Servicing will obtain your consent prior to disclosing your personal information to non-affiliated third parties, except to the extent that sharing such information is required or permitted by law.
California: In accordance with California law, HomEq Servicing will not share personal information about California residents with non-affiliated third parties except as permitted by law, such as with the consent of the customer or to service the customer's accounts. We will limit sharing among our affiliates to the extent required by applicable California law
